The IH5048ACPE is a advanced CMOS technology integrated analogue switch, multiplexer, demultiplexer which can be used to connect and switch between two separate pieces of analogue significantly with high speed and low power.
The device is widely applied in communications, medical, industrial and consumer electronics due to its suitable characteristics. For communications, it is used in battery-operated applications such as base stations and remote radio heads. In medical applications, it is widely used in ultrasound, cancer detection, and implantable medical devices. In industrial applications, it is used for high-precision measurement and control of temperature, pressure, voltages, and light intensity. In consumer electronics, it is used in audio and video products.
The internal configuration of IH5048ACPE has 2x4x4 array of high-speed analogue switches which can multiplex or demultiplex up to 8 channels of analogue signals. The device offers low resistive switching paths with high on-resistance of 25R. This device can be set to either static or dynamic operating mode.
In static mode, the device operates as a high speed analogue switch and multiplexer. The switches paths are opened or closed simultaneously with device\'s control signals.
In dynamic mode, the device operates as a high-speed multiplexer. The switches paths are opened and closed in controlled sequence.
The device features a very low power consumption, with just 100 µA in static mode and just 200 µA in dynamic mode. It also features a very low operating voltage, between 2.5v and 5.5v. The device has a wide range of operating frequencies, between 200MHz and 1GHz.
IH5048ACPE is very reliable and is designed for long-term reliable operation in harsh environments. The device is available in both BGA and DIP packages.
