INN3274C-H202-TL is a PMIC - AC DC Converters, Offline Switchers with wide application. It is designed to help increase the power efficiency and reduce the size of the power supply systemin various industrial applications. INN3274C-H202-TL also helps increase system reliability, provide better protection and lesser component count for offline power management system. The device is certified to Level 4 specifications as per EMC Directive 2011/65/EU.

INN3274C-H202-TL includes a high efficient, integrated green mode PWM controller with an active burst mode function. It operates with a wide input voltage range of 250VAC to 500VAC with a thermal shutdown temperature of up to 150°C. To provide protection, it includes over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and under-voltage protection. Moreover, it also includes a unique inrush current control with Brown-Out feature. Additionally, it has on-chip EMI, reverse battery, short-circuit, internal power FET and other protection features.

INN3274C-H202-TL is suitable for various applications such as notebook adaptors, power adaptors, power supplies, Open Frame Power Supplies, In-Line Power Strips, Test Equipment, and Automation Control Systems. When the mains power is applied, the PWM controller will generate an internal ramp signal to turn on the output of the power supply. The output of the power supply is regulated by the PWM controller and the sensed voltage feedback loop.

In the working principle of INN3274C-H202-TL, the device\'s on-chip oscillator is responsible for generating the PWM signal for switching the external power MOSFET. As the input voltage increases, a constant Linear Voltage Regulation loop controls the output voltage to the desired value. The current protection level is set to the maximum allowable current to meet the designed load level. The maximum drain voltage of the MOSFET is clamped by the internal Upper Voltage Transistor (UVP) for over-voltage protection and pulled low using Internal Power FET for under-voltage protection.

The novel inrush current control feature of INN3274C-H202-TL helps reduce the inrush current during power up, thus providing a soft start to the system. To further enhance the output protection, the device provides adjustable Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) and Over-Temperature Protection (OTP) that shuts down the converters in the event of an overload or short circuit. It also includes multiple short circuits protection on the output.

The multi-mode function integrated into the PWM controller of INN3274C-H202-TL also helps improvement of power efficiency in ways of Standby mode, Active Burst Mode, Active Duty Cycle mode and Power Up mode. In Active Burst mode, the energy wasted for keeping the power level is significantly reduced by lowering the power stage duty cycle to a suitable level. The Active duty Cycle Mode allows the output voltage to be reduced for energy saving in no-load condition.
