IRKH56/10A

IRKH56/10A is a three-phase, zero-cross-over thyristor module, which can be used in a variety of applications involving power conversion. When the current across the junction reaches a certain level, current will flow through the thyristor and the module will be turned on.

To turn it off, a negative gate voltage is applied to the anode side of the thyristor. This voltage decreases the current at the junction, which decreases the electric field and repels the electrons and ions back to the cathode, which then shuts off the current. The device can be turned back on again by reapplying the positive gate voltage.
