Working Principle

The operating principle of the IS25CD025-JNLE is known as a Multi-I/O Serial Flash Memory. This involves the input of various signals such as the Memory Address, Data and Enable signals, and the output of the Memory Data signals. The Memory Address is used to select the particular memory location within the flash memory device. Data is then read from, or written to, the desired memory location.The IS25CD025-JNLE can also be used to execute a Self-Erase Chip command or Self-Erase Block commands. The Self-Erase Chip command causes the entire content of the flash memory device to be erased. While the Self-Erase Block command causes data in a particular Block of the memory device to be erased.The memory device also includes an internal Programmable Read Protection (PRP). If a PRP is enabled, it prevents data from the flash memory device to be read out until an appropriate password is presented. This is an extra layer of protection and it prevents unauthorized access to the memory contents.
