The ISL6291-1CR-T from Intersil is a single-channel high performance Li-Ion and LiPo battery charger with over-volt, over-current and over-temperature protection designed for use in mobile and other portable devices powered by a single lithium-ion battery. The ISL6291-1CR-T can charge 3.7V Li-Ion and LiPo batteries up to 2.25A in either constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) mode with a power good flag or temperature controlled charging mode. The ISL6291-1CR-T also incorporates an adjustable low battery voltage threshold to alert the host system of an empty battery, allowing the system to take appropriate steps to save the state of the system.

The ISL6291-1CR-T application field includes mobile phones, digital cameras, portable media players, MP3 players, portable medical devices, portable navigation systems, and other hand-helds powered by a single Li-Ion or LiPo battery cell.
