ISL81334IBZ-T is a high-performance isolated Shunt Voltage Supervisor. It monitors two supply voltages, typically 5V and 12V and with one amplifier, biased at 2.5V, for providing an open-collector output that issynchronized with the monitored input power supply. The synchronized output allows for isolating thesynchronized output from Isl81334IBZ-T by using opto-couplers or PFETs.ISL81334IBZ-T provides accuracy with supplyTolerance of ± 2.5 %.It is suitable for minor voltage variations without the need of external correction. It monitors two supply voltages and with one amplifier, biased at 2.5V, for providing an open-collector output. The open-collector output is synchronised with the monitored input power supply, so the output is isolated from the load by opto-couplers or PFETs. The ISL81334IBZ-T supply voltage accuracy is ± 2.5 %, so it can handle minor voltage variations. The synchronization feature allows for communication of state changes between the monitored supply and the synchronized output. The maximum propagation delay times are 200ns (at 0V input). If the synchronization feature is not required, the sync pin can be left open.To ensure accuracy, the delay time of the open-collector output is optimized by setting the input to GND. With this setting, the output will be in the active state, when the supply voltage drops below the programmed threshold +300mV.The device also features over voltage protection and adjustable hysteresis to avoid false triggering due to the supply voltage ripple. The hysteresis is set by an internal resistor, while the over-voltage protection is implemented by a MOSFET-based snap off circuitry.In addition to the over-voltage protection, ISL81334IBZ-T has a built-in thermal protection that shuts off the output when the junction temperature exceeds a preset level. Thethermal protection limit can be set by a temperature dependent resistor. The Isl81334IBZ-T can also be synchronized with an external power management IC such as ISL8519.
