Working Principle

The ISL97701IRZ-T13 is a synchronous step-down switching regulator. Synchronous buck regulators have an additional PMOS switch in parallel with the NMOS switch to regulate the output voltage. This configuration enables higher efficiencies and higher output current capabilities compared to non-synchronous buck controllers. The ISL97701IRZ-T13 works in a continuous conduction mode for maximum efficiency, using an internal transconductance amplifier for precise output voltage control. The output voltage can be programmed via a voltage divider network or adjusted via I2C interface.
