ISL9014AIRKPZ-T Working Principle is based on the conventional buck topology ($VOUT=VIN·D$),where D is the duty cycle which is determined by the integrated frequency modulated loop, while the light load efficiency is enhanced with the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM).The operating frequency (min. 340kHz) is defined through external resistors. With this high switching frequency the ISL9014AIRKPZ-T can deliver up to 110 A without the need of an external driver. The LV-Mode allows the device to drop into light load conditions providing additional power savings.

A major feature of the ISL9014AIRKPZ-T is the implementation of COT current mode control. This allows for fast loop settling and better control signal filtering, helping to reduce the overall noise and ripple present at the output of the converter.
