KSH2955TF is one of the popular transistors - bipolar (BJT) - single type semiconductor products that are frequently used in electronic circuit designs. It is a NPN Silicon Epitaxial transistor which can be used as a switching device, amplifier, frequency amplifier and oscillator. One of the major application fields of KSH2955TF transistors is radio frequency amplifiers. The working principle of KSH2955TF transistors is quite simple. There are three terminals in this transistor — collector (C), base (B), and emitter (E). The current that flows through these terminals is responsible for the operation of a transistor. Basically it happens in two phases. Initially, a small amount of current flows from the base to the collector, known as the BASE CURRENT. This current can be regulated by the input voltage applied at the base. The second phase involves CONTROL volte applied between the collector and the emitter that makes the transistor act as a switch. Due to this, the collector current will be controlled by the input voltage applied at the base and hence the transistor can be used as a switch.
In addition, KSH2955TF transistors can also be used as AMPLIFIERS, where it amplifies the input signal and helps in controlling the output signal. This is because, when the input base is connected to a power source the collector current and the emitter current will increase. This increased current can be used to control the output voltage, current or frequency.
Apart from the application of KSH2955TF in RF and audio frequency amplifiers, these transistors also find their use in power oscillators, power amplifiers and power switching circuits. Moreover, these transistors are extensively used in high voltage full wave voltage doubler and inverter circuits due to their good breakdown voltage and switching time performance.
