L4979MD is a monolithic step-down DC-DC converter with integrated low-side MOSFET. This voltage regulator is a monolithic, buck-type step-down DC-DC converter that integrates the low-side power MOSFET into its package, and can be used to convert a given input voltage of 6.5 V to 5 V /2 A up to 24 V. This device utilizes a current-mode control system to achieve fast transient response, accurate line and load regulation, as well as improved system efficiency.ApplicationThe very wide range of applications of the L4979MD is what makes it desirable as a voltage regulator.
