The L7987TR is a DC DC switching regulator that is used to provide regulated output voltages as low as 2.5V, or up to 24V, given an appropriately sized input voltage, at up to 3A output current. The part features an adjustable output voltage, an input voltage range of 3 V to 45V, a power saving shutdown mode, a 1 MHz operating frequency, and an integrated FET and current sensing circuitry, allowing for the efficient use of power.
