Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also known as electrolytic capacitors, are capacitors whose anode is an aluminum oxide film formed by electrochemical oxidation and containing a large amount of anions, and its cathode is aluminum foil and its electrolyte. In the general capacitor type, the capacitance range of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor is the largest, up to several thousand microfarads, so its application range is also relatively wide.

LAKW6820MELA30 is a radial leaded aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a maximum rated voltage of 63V and a capacitance of 2200uF.

Applications: The LAKW6820MELA30 is mainly used in laptops, PCs, AV receivers, amplifiers and DVD players, as well as other large bias-stable capacitors and smoothing circuit applications.

The working principle of aluminum electrolytic capacitor: Aluminum electrolytic capacitor is composed of a positive and a negative electrode as electrodes, and the negative electrode is oxidized production layer as the dielectric. Using the fact that the anode of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor has an insulator film on the surface, a high electric field strength can be obtained to achieve a large capacity. When the direct current passes, the oxide layer on the anode is formed, and the electrolyte is filled around the anode for ion conductivity.

The positive and negative electrodes of the capacitor are connected in series in the process of manufacturing. There will be two soldered sets of pins, one is the signal pin and the other is the negative pin for grounding. The electric current flows from the signal end, through the capacitor body, and then returns to the negative end of the circuit, storing energy. When AC current is applied, the anodic oxide film is rapidly charged in one direction and then discharged in the reverse direction, forming a capacitor. When the two voltages are equal, no current flows through the capacitor, allowing the audio signal to pass through.
