Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are a type of capacitor used in most electronic circuits. The working principle of the LASW6820MELZ30 is based on the effect of electrolyte, which serves as an electrical conductor between two plates within the capacitor. The electrolyte consists of an aluminum anode and a cathode made of titanium, tungsten, or tantalum and the electrolyte is impregnated with a substance that reacts with the oxygen in the electrolyte to form an oxide layer. This oxide layer provides a higher effective surface area than can be achieved in a regular capacitor, resulting in higher capacitance.
The capacitance of the LASW6820MELZ30 is typically between 3 to 5.5mF and its working voltage is rated up to 85°C. It also has excellent temperature stability, with its capacitance changing by a maximum of 10% over temperature ranges from -30°C to 85°C. Additionally, the self-healing properties of the electrolytic capacitor make it well-suited for use in high-frequency and high-voltage applications, where rapid breakdown and self-repair reduce component waste and downtime.
