LDK320ADU50R Application Field and Working Principle

LDK320ADU50R is one type of Linear Voltage Regulator, which has a wide range of application fields, such as automotive, audio, network, routers, industrial drives, and etc. The product has the characteristics of low power consumption, low noise, high accuracy, wide range of input voltage and compliance with AEC-Q100 standard etc. So, LDK320ADU50R is widely used in the applications where low noise operating environment and low power consumption is required.This product has a high performance 200mA current driving capability. It also offers over temperature protection, Under-Voltage Lockout, Dropout voltage and Line regulation features. In addition, it has an adjustable output voltage ranging from 1.2 V to 5.0 V, making it ideal for a variety of applications.

LDK320ADU50R adopts a negative regulated linear (NRL) control scheme. It uses an internal negative reference to control the output voltage and keep it more accurate. The output voltage is determined with the relative status of the FB(Feedback) pin and the internal reference, when FB pin is higher than the reference voltage, error amplifier will output an increasing voltage which will be output through the NPN transistor and make the voltage of the output node higher until the FB pin is equal to the reference voltage, at this status, the output voltage is determined. Typically, this linear voltage regulator requires two external resistors to set the output voltage, the internal current flowing through those two external resistors will work as a current source to set the output voltage.
