The Xilinx LFE3-70EA-8FN1156C FPGA is an ideal solution for embedded applications that require a low-power, low-cost, and feature-rich mid-range FPGA solution. It consists of user-configurable logic and sophisticated 100-pin package modules. On-chip RAM, available in 64K, 128K, and 256K capacity, is used to store data and instructions. The FPGA includes high-density memory blocks of 8MB or 16MB for embedded analytics and data processing.
The device operates on 0.18-micron circuitry and is designed for high-speed applications, with frequencies ranging from 65 MHz to 200MHz. It contains Spartan-6 LXR/LXT series devices, which are the latest of Xilinx’s market-leading FPGAs, and feature the Xilinx RocketIO transceivers, the highest performing SERDES available.
The device is also equipped with plenty of I/O, and includes many built-in system-level blocks capable of implementing high-speed serial protocols and meeting different application needs. It also features advanced clock synthesis and phase-locked loops for precision timing and synchronization.
