The device that utilizes this capability is referred to as the LGU1E123MELA.

The LGU1E123MELA is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor a device using both the physical and electrostatic properties of aluminum to store energy, primarily for circuits associated with nodes, such as the voltage and current source levels. The LGU1E123MELA is developed from the electrolytic aluminum capacitor, EALCC and based on this section the LGU1E123MELA features a vast range of voltages and capacitances varying in size from 100uF to 22000uF as a result of the range of varieties of aluminum materials.

The working principle of the LGU1E123MELA involves a device which has the capability to introduce a physical medium in which the electric charge can be formed. This is the major way that it stores electrical energy which is preserved in polarized aluminum and deposited in the electrical contacts of the LGU1E123MELA device. It begins by having a carrier media comprising of a conductive medium in which the polarized molecule of aluminum embedded in the media. An electrical potential is applied between the two electrodes of the device such that the negative pole is connected to the aluminum molecule while the positive one is connected to the carrier media.
