The LH1501BT’s zero voltage transition type of operation enables it to operate safely over a wide range of operating voltages, and can enable systems to be operated at higher than normal voltage while still reducing voltage drop. Furthermore, the Zero voltage transition type of operation enables it to be used in applications such as 3-phase induction motors which need zero crossing of the voltage waveform in order to start or stop.

This causes a circuit within the LH1501BT to be activated, and the output circuit will be energized. Once the input has been switched off, the LH1501BT will immediately cut off power to the output circuit, preventing any damage that may result from an overload or overvoltage situation.
