The LM22670INVEVAL/NOPB is an evaluation board to easily evaluate the features and operation of the LM22670, a synchronous buck regulator. It includes all of the components needed to demonstrate the functionality of the LM22670 in a typical voltage regulation application.

The LM22670INVEVAL/NOPB is categorized as an Evaluation Board for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. DC/DC (direct current to direct current) SMPS or converters are used for conversion of one direct current voltage to another voltage, which is a very common application in portable electronics, such as mobile phones, laptop computers, tablets, etc. The DC/DC converter combines electrical components like inductors, capacitors and resistors, with one or more switching transistors along with integrated circuits to create arbitrary conversions of voltages. AC/DC SMPS or converters, on the other hand, are used to convert alternating current voltages, commonly found in wall sockets in homes and buildings, to direct current voltages.

The LM22670INVEVAL/NOPB evaluation board is designed to specifically demonstrate the features and performance of the LM22670 Synchronous Buck Regulator. The board includes all the components necessary for efficient and safe operation of the LM22670 in typical voltage regulation applications. The board provides a single input voltage source that is connected to a power supply input. This input voltage can be adjusted from 6V to 30V in order to match the voltage of the power supply input. The board also includes an adjustable output voltage range from 0.5V to 24V.

The output voltage is generated by the high efficiency buck converter IC, LM22670. It is a synchronous switching buck regulator IC that works by using an internal power FET to provide isolation between the input voltage and the output voltage. The buck converter IC also provides a wide input voltage range, adjustable output voltage range, as well as high output current capability. The adjustable output voltage range makes it possible for the board to operate in a range of applications.

The LM22670INVEVAL/NOPB evaluation board is easy to use and can be used right out of the box. The board includes a 5V/500mA power supply, and is shipped with a 3-pin power cable for connection to the input power source. The board includes all the necessary test points and voltage sets to enable the user to observe the output performance and other characteristics of the regulator.
