LM22674QMR-ADJ/NOPB is a highly integrated switching regulator controller integrated with a power MOSFET (metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor). It is part of the Texas Instruments Power Management and Signal Path (PMSP) family, under the Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators classification. The LM22674QMR-ADJ/NOPB is designed to convert a positive or negative input voltage to a regulated positive or negative output voltage. It has a maximum operating frequency of 2.1 MHz and a maximum output current of 1.05 Amps. It is suitable for a variety of power-saving applications, including microprocessor power supply, AC/DC converters, LED hazardous location lighting and more.

The LM22674QMR-ADJ/NOPB is designed to regulate output voltages of 0.8 to 16V with a wide range of switching frequency (300 KHz - 2.1 MHz) and pulse-width modulation (PWM) modulation ratios at 10% - 100%. It works by first turning on the power switch (MOSFET), allowing the voltage stored in the inductor to flow through the MOSFET and into the output capacitor. The voltage stored in the output capacitor rises until it reaches the desired voltage and current level. At this point, the LM22674QMR-ADJ/NOPB turns off the MOSFET, stopping the current flow from the inductor and establishing the desired output voltage and current level. The voltage stored in the output capacitor then slowly decreases and the cycle continues.

The LM22674QMR-ADJ/NOPB has many features that allow for greater efficiency and security. It has an output voltage trim capability to regulate the output voltage to a specific tolerance range and a voltage-sense input that can be used to monitor the output voltage and adjust the output voltage as needed. It also has an internal frequency jittering mechanism to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and an external clock input to reduce component count and size.
