LM22673TJ-ADJ/NOPB is a highly efficient DC-DC synchronous power converter designed for a variety of applications. It is a member of Texas Instruments’ Pegasus™ synchronous step-down DC/DC family. The device provides a constant output voltage from an input voltage up to 28 volts and features a wide input voltage range from 4.5 to 28 volts. It also features a maximum output current of up to 2A.

The LM22673TJ-ADJ/NOPB is a synchronous step-down switching regulator, designed to deliver up to 4A of continuous output current. It operates at an adjustable output voltage between 0.8 and 10V, making it suitable for a variety of different applications including powering FPGAs, microcontrollers, ASICs and system platforms in automotive, industrial and portable applications. The device has up to a 95% efficiency and up to 32,000V rms input to output isolation. Working Principle

The LM22673TJ-ADJ/NOPB is a step-down synchronous regulator with integrated dual N-channel MOSFETs. Its low on-resistance and high switching frequency gives it a high efficiency and low noise performance. The LM22673TJ-ADJ/NOPB uses Phase Cycle Control and Boundary Conduction Mode (BCM) to optimize efficiency and reduce EMI/RFI. In BCM, power is exchanged between the input and output over the switching interval. When operating in BCM, the LM22673TJ-ADJ/NOPB is capable of operating at as low as 20% duty cycle, while still achieving up to 95% efficiency and up to 32,000V rms input to output isolation.

Additionally, the LM22673TJ-ADJ/NOPB integrates circuit protection and fault handling, avoiding overcurrent and short circuit protection. The device offers a Power Good status indication which allows the user to monitor the output and respond accordingly in case of a fault. The LM22673TJ-ADJ/NOPB also has an external SYNC input allowing the user to synchronize the switching frequency of multiple devices in order to minimize acoustic noise.
