LM224QT Application Field and Working PrincipleThe LM224QT is a attractive, robust and versatile linear amplifier, instrumentation, op amp, and buffer amplifier with a wide range of applications. It is designed to process, amplify and convert analogue signals from DC to up to 22.4kHz frequency for use in both industrial, medical and scientific instruments.The LM224QT is powered by a linear power supply which provides a regulated output voltage of between 2.5V to 32V and can be used with up to three voltage supplies simultaneously. The amplifier has a wide operating temperature range of -10˚C to 70˚C and can handle up to peak current and peak-to-peak current of 4A and 10A respectively.The LM224QT uses four differential oscillators to amplify and convert signals. The four differential oscillators are connected to a buffer amplifier, which provides a high input impedance in order to accept large signals. The first differential oscillator is a high-gain, low-input range which is used to amplify signals in the DC to 10kHz range. In this input range, the amplifier has a gain of up to 800. The second differential oscillator has a lower-gain, high-input range of 10kHz to 22.4kHz. This oscillator is able to provide a gain of up to 200.In order to maintain frequency accuracy and prevent errors, the amplifier is designed with a variable frequency filter, which is used to filter noise and unwanted signals from the input signal. This filter also prevents harmonic distortion from occurring within the amplifier.Outputs of the first two differential oscillators are passed to two more differential oscillators. The third differential oscillator is a low-gain, low-frequency range which amplifies signals from DC to 10kHz and provides a gain of up to 100. The fourth differential oscillator is the low-frequency range with gaps of -144dB, which amplifies signals from 10kHz to 22.4kHz with a gain of up to 50.After the amplified signal is converted, it is then routed to the buffer amplifier, which is used to isolate the output from the other circuitry in the amplifier. This ensures that the output is free from noise and unwanted signals. The buffer amplifier also provides a high output impedance, which reduces power consumption and increases the efficiency of the amplifier.The LM224QT offers excellent performance when used in both industrial and scientific applications. It is well-suited for amplifier circuits, instrumentation, audio, and video applications, and is widely used in medical and industrial instruments.
