When it comes to power management, the LM2715MT-ADJ/NOPB is a specialized integrated circuit (IC) designed to provide a selectable fixed 5V or adjustable voltage output. This IC is intended for applications including 3.3V, 5V or Adjustable DC/DC converters, on-card bipolar linear regulators, or external regulators for RS-232, peripherals and other equipment requiring very low ripple and excellent line and load regulation.

The LM2715MT-ADJ/NOPB can be configured as a fixed 5V regulator, adjustable 3.3V to 5V regulator, adjustable ±3.3V regulator, adjustable -12V to +12V regulator, or adjustable -5V to +5V regulator. It features low voltage-dropout current, low output noise, low power dissipation, wide temperature range operation, high accuracy due to integrated bandgap reference, remote shutdown capability, and maximum output current of 1A. It has an adjustable switching frequency which allows flexibility and low external-component requirements. In CCM mode, the input voltage is always greater than the output voltage, making it suitable for applications requiring higher power conversion. In either case, the LM2715MT-ADJ/NOPB offers excellent features such as wide input voltage range, low output current, high switching performance and high level of integration.
