The LM2734ZEVAL is an evaluation board, and belongs to the category of evaluation boards for DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. This evaluation board features a single stage Active Clamp Reset Flyback power topology. In a nutshell, Active Clamp Reset Flyback topology is a type of switching power supply in which an inductor is employed to store energy. Active Clamp Reset Flyback topology receives its power from an external power supply. The stored energy in the inductor is transferred to the load in the form of regulated voltage over the duration of the switching cycle. The LM2734ZEVAL board provides a very efficient, easy-to-use, and cost-effective solution for evaluating the LM2734 chip.
