The regulator is controlled by a low power CMOS control circuit and a temperature compensation circuit for thermal protection. This device is designed for high efficiency and is capable of supplying up to 90% efficiency with low current ripple under typical operating conditions.The LM27965SQ-M/NOPB has a wide operating input voltage range of 2.5V to 36V, and can drive up to 5A of constant current without an external potentiometer. This device also features an adjustable switching frequency which can be programed between 200kHz and 3.2MHz via an external resistor. In terms of safety and protection, this device includes an over-current protection (OCP) circuit, which shuts down the output when the load current is over 5A.
