LM3490IM5X-15 Application Field and Working Principle

The LM3490IM5X-15 is an integrated dual-channel, high-current, linear voltage regulator. It is an excellent choice for power distributed LCD backlight applications as well as other applications requiring a regulated output voltage up to 15V. It is designed to provide maximum power from a single power supply. It also offers level shifting, current limit protection, over temperature shut down protection and a wide operating temperature range.

The LM3490IM5X-15 voltage regulator is designed for low voltage applications such as LED backlighting, cell phones and portable electronic devices. This regulator has two voltage regulator channels. Each channel has a wide input voltage range of 5V to 20V. Furthermore, it has a precise output voltage range of 5V to 15V and a current limit of 350mA. It also has an adjustable output voltage to provide different levels of brightness. The LM3490IM5X-15 is highly stable, very robust and extremely efficient. In addition, it provides excellent line and load regulation as well as temperature stability.
