The LM828M5 utilizes two seperate power MOSFETs to control the DC output voltage. The two high-side and low-side switches are integrated into the same system, making it a highly efficient design. The LM828M5 uses an in-built error amplifier that is used to compare the input voltage with the output voltage, and adjusts the gates of the two MOSFETs accordingly to ensure the DC output voltage remains constant. The two independent MOSFETs operate together to ensure the output voltage is regulated, with one of the MOSFETs turning on and the other turning off in order to maintain the output voltage.
