Working Principle
The LMV7235M5 consists of two pins: an input pin (Vin) and an output pin (Vout). When the input voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the output voltage remains low. When the input voltage is higher than the reference voltage, the output voltage is high. The LMV7235M5 features a true open-drain output, enabling it to be driven in open-drain "push-pull" mode as well as standard open collector mode. It also has an internal resistor to pull up its output voltage in case a pull-up resistor is not connected externally.
The LMV7235M5 also has an integrated Schmitt trigger input stage for noise control and an integrated EMI filter for improved EMI immunity and performance. The device is capable of sourcing and sinking currents of up to 10mA at voltages from 4.5V to 28V. The device also offers an adjustable voltage gain, adjustable hysteresis, and an output enable function.
