The LMV751M5 is a wide-bandwidth unity-gain stable amplifier. It is an integrated circuit (IC), specifically a monolithic linear-amplifier with a very high speed, low power and low-noise, appropriate for use in audio, instrumentation and other industrial applications. The LMV751M5 is ideal for instrumentation, operational amplifiers (op-amps), buffering amplifiers, line drivers and other applications that require a wide-bandwidth, low-distortion, phase linear and fast slew-rate amplifier.

The LMV751M5 is designed for many applications, including preamp, line-driver, and power-amplifier; instrumentation and industrial product applications such as gain-stage amplifier and feedback loop amplifier, active filter and output stage; and Audio/Video applications such as line drivers and headphone solutions.

Working Principle

It is an integrated linear-amplifier with a very high speed, low power and low-noise. The functioning of the LMV751M5 is based on the closed loop feedback principle. This means that the gain of the amplifier is maintained constant (i.e. unity) when the input and output signals are same. The amplifier is internally calibrated to achieve a unity gain performance at high frequencies. The LMV751M5 amplifier features an adjustable input impedance and variable gain stages, which can be controlled by two control pins - VIN and VGA respectively. The variable gains of the amplifier make it suitable for variable gain application such as variable gain amplifiers, variable gain feedback loop amplifiers, variable gain preamplifiers, etc.

The amplifier also features a current-feedback loop architecture, which results in high linearity and low distortion operation, even at high slew rates. The LMV751M5 amplifier can provide a gain of up to 2.4V/V and can operate at bandwidth of up to 10MHz. The common-mode rejection ratio of the device is up to ±10V and the offset voltage of the device is as low as ±1mV, making it ideal for low-voltage applications.
