LMV7235M5X/NOPB, part of the “ULTRA” family of high speed Single Comparators, is designed to deliver a fast and accurate response to an incoming signal. It is designed to be used in applications such as DVB-T, and cellular base station amplifier protection. Additionally, the LMV7235M5X/NOPB is an ideal choice for audio, video and communications systems that require a fast, accurate and ultra low-power response time.

Operating in a non-inverting configuration, the LMV7235M5X/NOPB is able to detect small voltage changes and deliver a fast, accurate response with minimal power consumption. With a wide input voltage range from 1.45V to 5V, and an internal voltage reference, the device operates with a low input current and does not require an external voltage reference. Additionally, the LMV7235M5X/NOPB features a low-noise input which allows for a very smooth signal output and a high bandwidth of up to 10MHz, making it an ideal choice for high speed signal processing.

The LMV7235M5X/NOPB’s low-power operation makes it particularly suitable for mobile and portable applications where it can be powered from a single 3V supply. It also offers a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and is available in 8-Pin TSOP, SOIC, and TSSOP packages.

The LMV7235M5X/NOPB is a linear comparator, or comparator amplifier, that performs an active comparison on a given input signal to determine if its magnitude is greater or less than a given reference value. This comparison is carried out using a differential amplifier, also known as a “differential pair”, with the output of this pair being connected to a positive and negative threshold network. These networks are determined by the comparator’s voltage thresholds, for example, when the input signal is more than the provided voltage threshold the output of the comparator will be high, and vice versa.
