The LMX2364 is a highly integrated clock generator and PLL frequency synthesizer optimized for use in GSM, EDGE, WCDMA and other complex multi-mode transceiver applications.The device is designed to replace discrete solutions composed of multiple Crystals, Crystal Oscillators and associated control and timing devices with a single advanced chip. LMX2364 promises to reduce design complexity and boost design efficiency, while delivering the performance required.The LMX2364 uses a single supply and has integrated circuitry and features that allow users to quickly and conveniently develop systems with clock management functions such as Global Positioning System (GPS) synchronization support and Automatic Frequency Control (AFC) loop.The clock management and reference clock generation functions included in the LMX2364 are highly configurable, allowing for a range of configurations and applications without the need for external components. The LMX2364 also includes an adjustable spread spectrum clock generation feature which can reduce EMI and can be used to meet FCC regulations.The LMX2364 is a dual function clock generator and PLL Frequency Synthesizer optimized for mobile radio systems, such as GSM, EDGE, WCDMA and other multi-mode transceiver applications. The LMX2364 includes two independent clock generators and one PLL.The clock generators receive an input clock signal and generate a configurable output clock signal. The output clock signal can be selected between 9 and 18 different frequency bands, allowing the clock generator to be used in a wide range of applications and configurations.The PLL synthesizer uses a fractional and an integer-N frequency synthesization architecture, allowing it to generate an output frequency that is the exact integer multiple of the input frequency. In addition, the PLL synthesizer is configurable and can operate in either a free running or a locked mode.The LMX2364 is designed to provide a complete clock management solution for GSM, EDGE, WCDMA and other transceiver applications. This includes both the clock generation and the frequency synthesization functions needed for these applications in a single, highly integrated device.The LMX2364 is a highly integrated PLL frequency synthesizer and clock generator optimized for use in GSM, EDGE, WCDMA and other complex multi-mode transceiver applications. This device is designed to reduce design complexity and boost design efficiency, while delivering the performance required.The LMX2364 contains two independent clock generators, each configurable to produce an output signal from nine to eighteen different frequency bands. The dual clock generators also have spread spectrum capabilities that are adjustable to reduce EMI and help meet various governmental regulations.In addition to the dual clock generators, the LMX2364 contains a highly integrated PLL. This PLL can generate an output frequency that is an exact integer multiple of the input frequency, and can operate in either free running or locked modes.Overall, the LMX2364 provides the needed clock management and frequency synthesization functions required in mobile radio applications in a single device.
