First, the incoming analog signal is compared with the onboard fixed reference, which is generated by the onboard voltage regulator. The output of the voltage regulator is then processed by the ADC, which converts the analog signal into a 15-bit digital voltage, which is accurate to 1/128th of the onboard reference. The digital voltage is then used by the onboard digital calibrator, to calibrate the output signal. correlated to the original analog signal.
