LMX2581SQ/NOPB is a fully integrated, ultra-low jitter, wideband frequency synthesizer targeting 5G wireless base station applications. The device supports all the popular frequency bands, including, but not limited to, cellular, PCS, Public Safety and Wi-Fi, with cross-band two-mode operation and inter-frequency hopping. The LMX2581SQ/NOPB delivers maximum design flexibility by offering multiple options, such as low phase noise, wideband harmonic tuning and integrated loop filter.

The LMX2581SQ/NOPB is a versatile clock/timing frequency synthesizer that supports a wide range of clock and timing applications. The device is suited for a wide range of base station applications, such as low-cost, high-performance clock & frequency synthesizer for 5G wireless base station applications.

The LMX2581SQ/NOPB is manufactured using a low-cost, reliable, and repeatable 0.25μm CMOS process, making it one of the industry’s most cost effective clock/timing - clock generator, PLL, frequency synthesizers.

The device features a wide range of integrated features that provide complete timing and clock synthesis solutions from a single source. The device’s wide frequency selection and wide programmable range enable a superior level of flexibility. The clock and timing parameters can be easily configured on the device’s built-in graphical user interface.

LMX2581SQ/NOPB’s core operating principle is based on the use of phase-locked loops (PLLs). A PLL is a closed-loop system that continuously compares an output signal frequency with a reference signal and adjusts its operating parameters to ensure the output signal is kept in-phase and synchronized with the reference.
