Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also known as aluminium electrolytic capacitors, are capacitors consisting of two aluminum foils that act as electrodes, a paper separating them that is soaked with electrolyte. The aluminum has a special oxide layer that acts as the dielectric – essentially forming a sandwiched capacitor. This type of capacitor is the simplest and cheapest form of capacitance. Aluminum electrolytic capacitorsare polarized capacitors with superior electrical characteristics and energy storage. They are typically used to filter power supplies and suppress radio frequency interference (RFI) from telecommunication devices. This double layer provides an electric field for the capacitor, and when connected to a voltage source, charging and discharging of the opposite electrodes occur. Over time, molecules of the electrolyte interact with the electron current and form ions that form the electrolyte bridge between the electrodes, allowing the charge to flow between them. LNT2D153MSEB has a capacitance range of 33uf to 4700uF with extended temperature range (-40 degree Celsius to 125 degree Celsius).
