LP3981IMM-2.5/NOPB is a post-amplifier regulator designed to enhance the stability and performance of power systems. This device is an advanced Monolithic Linear IC, featuring high level of performance, flexibility and high integration capabilities. It is ideally suited for a wide range of applications including automotive, industrial and consumer products.The LP3981IMM-2.5/NOPB is a fixed output, 3-terminal, low-dropout (LDO), module regulator. It utilizes a low-temperature coefficient NMOSFET transistor and a precision internal voltage reference to provide a highly stable and accurate output voltage. Its simple external components and its integrated current limit, thermal protection and shutdown circuitry make it highly attractive for a wide range of applications.The output voltage is adjusted by the external gain resistor connected between the feedback pin and the adjust pin. When the current and voltage levels are set, the device automatically reduces the base voltage of the internal NMOSFET transistor to maintain the output voltage. It also provides a low-dropout performance as the device operates down to 0.5V drop-out at the output.In addition, the LP3981IMM-2.5/NOPB also provides significant protection features such as over current and over temperature protection. A current limit feature is included to protect the device against excessive current and it also provides a thermal fuse to ensure the device operates safely within the specified temperature range. Furthermore, the device also has a programmable power-down mode to ensure that the device is shut down safely in the event of a fault.The LP3981IMM-2.5/NOPB is a versatile and efficient linear voltage regulator ideal for a wide range of applications including automotive, industrial and consumer products. It provides a highly stable and accurate output voltage with excellent line and load regulation and low noise operation.
