This regulator, with its ultra low-power consumption and supersmall package size, packs a high degree of power control and precision in order to efficiently power up a variety of small devices. Working Principle

The internal hysteretic-based P-Channel MOSFET (Power MOSFET) architecture of the LP3985ITLX-2.8/NOPB ensures a very low and continuous power consumption, necessary when powering WLEDs, LCD backlight, and other small loads. The principle of operation of the LP3985ITLX-2.8/NOPB is based on the comparison between the reference voltage (Vref) and the output voltage (Vout), detected at the feedback pins.
