The LT3462ES6#TRPBF is a high efficiency, low noise synchronous switching regulator with 66V/1.2A/2A peak which can operate from input voltage range of 4.5V to 80V. Its typical dropout voltage is 340mV at full load. It uses an external feedback network connected to an internal voltage reference to maintain a precise output voltage that is set by an external resistor divider. The switching frequency of the device can be changed by an external resistor. It includes an internal high-side and low-side MOSFET, an adjustable current-limit foldback circuit, an overcurrent fault signal, and a pulse-by-pulse current limit.

The LT3462ES6#TRPBF features programmable soft start circuitry to prevent input power supply droop and an overcurrent fault signal to alert the system to a fault condition. It also has a low operating current of 4mA and a quiescent current of 40uA. The device is available in the compact, thermally efficient 4-lead SOT-23L package.

Working Principle
