LT3474IFE-1#PBF is an advanced power management integrated circuit (PMIC) which combines a highly efficient step-up DC-DC converter with an adjustable current limit switch and a fixed frequency high-side switch. It is available in an ultra-compact 14-lead TDFN package. This PMIC - LED Driver is aimed at providing designers a simple and easy to use device to power up LEDs. It has been designed to operate with small capacitors and inductors, resulting in a smaller, less expensive and more efficient solution than traditional discrete implementations.
The LT3474IFE-1#PBF is a current-mode boost converter with a wide input voltage range of 1.8V to 40V. It can support up to 4 LEDs in series at a constant current from 15mA up to 1A. It utilizes peak-current-mode control for maximum control loop stability. At the same time, it can provide a regulated output voltage from 0.3V up to 28V, depending on the inductor. The device is designed to draw only 2.5µA of quiescent current in shutdown mode.
The LT3474IFE-1#PBF supports several operating modes such as Constant On-Time (COT) mode, Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) mode, and direct-external control mode.
