LT3570EUF#TRPBF is a series of integrated high-efficiency current mode DC-DC converters with a step-up circuit with a synchronous rectifier and inductor-based boost topology. It consists of two independent separated Buck regulators with high-voltage start-up capability. It is suitable for portable applications where the output current is sharply varying, such as mobile phones, PDAs, PMP players, digital cameras, and other portable devices with large-scale digital ICs.

Working Principle

Essentially, the LT3570EUF#TRPBF is a current-mode DC-DC converter that works on the principle of synchronous rectification. The current mode topology ensures fast transient responses and high-speed load transient response with minimum extra components. The device integrates the high-side and the low-side synchronous rectifier connected in series and the control signals are generated inside the chip.An inductor is used as the energy storage element. The inductor has two sets of windings which are connected to the input and output circuits. The parasitic capacitances and other non-ideal components between the winding and the load are taken into account, as well as the power losses and the ramping characteristics of the inductor.In normal operating conditions, the LT3570EUF#TRPBF voltage regulative device is working in current mode control. The current mode control mechanism of the device only allows the output current to exceed the input current during the transient or startup process, but the maximum output current is limited by the Gain and Limit settings.
