LT3581 is a high efficiency, wide input voltage range step-up DC/DC converter integrated with a 600mA current limitation feature. It is designed to operate with input voltages as low as 0.8V, making it ideal for a wide range of battery-powered and industrial applications, while drawing a quiescent current of less than 2500nA. The switching frequency is internally set to 1.6MHz, allowing the use of tiny, low cost surface-mount components.

In addition to its low quiescent current, the LT3581 eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode; thereby, saving board space and cost. The LT3581 uses a current mode, peak-current-mode control architecture to achieve fast transient response, improved line and load regulation, low output ripple, and programmable soft-start.

The LT3581 is available in a thermally enhanced 16-lead, 3mm × 3mm DFN or a 16-lead, low profile (0.75mm) ThinSOT™ package. It offers wide 2.5V to 28V input voltage and 0.8V to 36V output voltage ranges. The switching frequency is adjustable from 500kHz to 2MHz.
