The LT3694IFE-1#TRPBF is a two phase, high switching frequency, high efficiency, low drop-out regulator. The device has the capability to drive up to 2A continuous current of a regulated output voltage up to 5V. The device has POR and V UV and UVLO protection against Over-Voltage and Under-Voltage conditions. It also has correction for temperature linearity, enabling the device to optimize its supply current for temperature stability.The device uses a synchronous voltage mode control architecture. By using the current buffer and soft start mechanism, the device ensures precision and efficiency at all loads. The slew rates are adjustable with a resistor placed between the CS pin and ground. The LT3694IFE-1#TRPBF is a two-phase synchronous buck regulator. It utilizes two power transistors to switch the output voltage in opposite directions. This allows for higher switching frequency and smaller output ripple. The reference voltage is provided by the OVLO circuit and is compared to the feedback voltage from the output. When the feedback voltage drops below the reference voltage, the voltage mode control makes the lower power transistor conducting in order to raise the output voltage. When the feedback voltage exceeds the reference voltage, the upper power transistor is conducting thus lowering the output voltage to the desired level. The soft start mechanism slowly increases the output voltage up to its nominal value. The current buffer and the OVLO circuits protect the circuit from over-current and under-voltage conditions. The device is capable of reducing the output ripple to ≤ 10mV by sensing the output voltage ripple and generating an asynchronous oscillation which further reduces the ripple. This reduces the EMC noise generated by the device and the potential interference with other sensitive devices.Conclusion
