LT3741IFE-1#PBF is a high-performance high-efficiency DC DC switching controller which belongs to the PMIC (Power Management IC) voltage regulators and DC DC switching controllers. It offers wide input voltage range, high-output current and up to 98.5% power conversion efficiency. Moreover, the LT3741IFE-1#PBF also provides various protection features such as Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Overload Protection (OLP) and Short Circuit Protection (SCP).
The LT3741IFE-1#PBF is based on a buck-boost topology and it has two dual synchronization circuits to get synchronous rectification technology with accurate cycle-by-cycle current limit. It also has a digital logic controller, dual N-channel MOSFETs (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor), wide-sensing current loop and two mode control features. The two mode control features are the pulse frequency modulation (PFM) and pulse width modulation (PWM) control.
The LT3741IFE-1#PBF provides three types of protection features to ensure the safety of the device and its user. The Over Temperature Protection feature can detect over temperature conditions and will immediately shut off the LT3741IFE-1#PBF. The Overload Protection feature can detect current overloads and will shut off the part before damaging the circuit components. The Short Circuit Protection feature will detect when the output current of the device is greater than the preset maximum limit and will shut off the output before any damage occurs to the device and the circuit.
In addition to the protection features, the LT3741IFE-1#PBF also has a wide selection of programmable protection and control settings. The independent Enable and Soft-Start/Soft-Stop pins allow for independent timing and sequencing of different power rail start-up and shut-down operations. The pins can also be configured for synchronization or multiple device paralleling for further cost savings.
