In DCM, the inductor current falls to zero during the inactive portion of the MOSFET duty cycle. The LT8641EUDC#PBF can be programmed with a single resistor to set the switching frequency up to 500kHz. Additionally, the device can be easily synchronized to an external clock to provide better noise immunity and reduce EMI levels.
