Working Principle
The LTC3859AMPUHF#TRPBF utilizes a high performance, current mode control architecture to regulate the output voltage. It includes an internal 5-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to monitor and control the output voltage. The 5-bit DAC pin along with an external resistive dividert, gives the device the ability to precisely adjust the output voltage in a range of 0.3V to 6.5V. The quad-timer configuration provides frequency foldback for both the current mode control loop and the voltage mode control loop, enabling the device to reduce the operating frequency at light loads and/or under high temperature conditions.
