Features

The IC provides up to 10A of protection and has several features that make it well suited for hot-swap applications. Working Principle

The IC also includes an Adjustable Current Limit (ACL) setting, which allows the user to set the maximum current trip level. During Power On, the LTC4252CIMS-2#PBF will monitor the incoming voltage and current. If the voltage exceeds the AOV setting, the IC will shut down the power switch. If the current exceeds the ACL setting, the IC will limit the current and shut down the switch. In addition, the IC also has a number of protection features such as Over Temperature Protection (OTP), short-to-ground and short-to-tolerance voltage protection, ensuring that the system is protected from all types of electrical faults.
