The LTC4266IGW#PBF is a symmetrical power-over-Ethernet (PoE) controller. It is a type of PMIC - Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Controllers and can be used in both powered devices (PDs) and power sourcing equipment (PSEs). It complies with the IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and 802.3at (PoE+) standards. The device integrates an efficient 1.6A/1.4A synchronous buck regulator and 3 Power MOSFETs in a single package.

The LTC4266IGW#PBF controller can be used in various applications, such as home office, VoIP phones, industrial equipment, access points, IP cameras, and networking gear. It is designed to supply power to PDs reliably and securely and features various protection mechanisms, such as feed-forward compensation circuitry, adjustable over-current limit, adjustable max/min output voltage, soft-start and over-temperature protection. The input voltage range of the device is 15V to 57V and the output voltage range is 0.6V to 55V.

The LTC4266IGW#PBF controller provides optoelectronic isolation between the PoE PSE and the CON pin. The CON pin turns off the supply when the device is disabled or when an over-current/over-voltage lockout fault occurs.
