The Linear Technology LTC6259HDC#TRPBF is a low-power, general-purpose operational amplifier. An operational amplifier, or op-amp, is a DC-coupled high-gain electronic voltage amplifier with a differential input and, usually, a single-ended output. Operational amplifiers have a gain bandwidth product and a large gain-bandwidth (GBW). The LTC6259HDC#TRPBF is a single-channel, DC-coupled, rail-to-rail I/O (input/output) operational amplifier that provides excellent maximum signal-to-noise performance. The LTC6259HDC#TRPBF is a FET-input and bipolar-output amplifier. It is designed for a wide range of applications including instrumentation amplifiers, signal conditioning amplifiers, output buffer amplifiers and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) receivers, among others. It is capable of operating from very low power supplies of 2.7V to 5.5V and is designed for single-supply operation making it well suited for battery-operated systems. The LTC6259HDC#TRPBF has a guaranteed DC output accuracy of 0.15% and an open-loop voltage gain of 1,000 or more. The LTC6259HDC#TRPBF is a fully-differential, rail-to-rail input, and output operational amplifier. It consists of a large count of high-gain band gap first-stage amplifiers connected in a compound feedback network. As a result, the input common mode range extends to the negative rail and its voltage offset is very low. Output saturation is prevented by the internally regulated rail-to-rail output stage and is guaranteed not to happen until the output supplies are below 2.7V. The input bias currents are kept low even when operating from the lowest power supply voltage. The internal overload protection circuitry allows a high common-mode source impedance and its high-impedance input stage helps to minimize component count, power consumption, and component size.The LTC6259HDC#TRPBF is also specified for fast settling time, stability for capacitive loads, and wide bandwidth. It also has frequency compensation for stability when used as an op amp, allowing it to be used at high frequencies.
