Conversely, when the logic level of the driver input is deasserted, the PMOS will be turned off and the NMOS will be turned on, allowing current to be sunk from the drive output.This configuration is beneficial because it eliminates the need for external pullup and pulldown resistors, saving both power and space. The adjustable slew rate ensures that the switching speed of the driver can be tailored to suit conditions. This is especially useful when driving high current and/or high voltage MOSFETs, as it allows the switching speed to be adjusted to minimize power losses.The LTC7000IMSE-1#PBF is also designed to be used as a direct-gate driver. This means that it can be used as an alternative to relay coils.
