The LV8726TAGEVK Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits is a tool specifically designed for device evaluation, device development and laboratory use. The LV8726TAGEVK device is a high-performance voltage regulator with an operating input voltage range of 2.5V - 5.5V and an output voltage range of 0.8V - 7V. It is especially suitable for use in automotive and portable applications such as automotive displays, portable media players, GPS navigation systems, and automotive audio systems. The device features high efficiency (up to 98%), low standby current (<4µA), and excellent line and load regulation (±1% at full load) in order to maintain precise output voltage even in the presence of high line and load transients. Additionally, the device provides overload, precision current limit, and reverse current protection.
The working principle of the LV8726TAGEVK device is based on a three-phase interleaved technique, which is the same technique employed by all the previous generation of the L.T.V. family. In this technique, the output voltage is generated by a two-phase regulator which is driven by an external clock signal. An external oscillator generates the clock signal, which synchronizes the two-phase regulator. The two-phase regulator then alternates between the two phases and produces the output voltage which is regulated and regulated in the cycle-by-cycle AC link. The outputs of the two-phase regulator are then summed together and sent to the output stage of the device. The output stage is responsible for providing current and voltage regulation, protection, and power management.
