On-chip peripherals include eight timers/counters, a 2-channel PWM generator, and other features to provide a complete motor control solution. With its on-chip motor control circuitry, the LV8773-E has the ability to control BLDC motors, SGCC motors, and stepper motors.

The LV8773-E also includes additional features for improved performance, such as an on-chip oscillator, an on-chip starting logic circuit, and multiple current limit setting functions. By providing current limit setting for both the motor and its power source, It provides enhanced protection against over current. This enables motor controllers to work at higher power ratings and speeds with improved stability.

The LV8773-E is designed to operate in both open and closed loop control modes. In open-loop mode, the controller uses a pre-programmed speed profile or current profile to control the motor. This allows for precise speed or current control, depending on the application. In closed-loop mode, the controller uses feedback from the motor’s position or speed to make adjustments in the PWM signals. This allows for improved accuracy and stability when driving the motor.

The LV8773-E also offers a variety of system protection features designed to prevent current surges, over-current, and over-voltage. The controller’s built-in protection circuit protect the motor from damage due to over-current, over-voltage, or temperature rises. The LV8773-E has a low-current standby mode, which helps to reduce overall power consumption when the motor is idle.
