LX7165-02CSP-TR Integrated Circuits (ICs)

The LX7165-02CSP-TR is a controller IC developed by ON Semiconductor, which provides step-down DC/DC converter functions with best-in-class power consumption. When the switch is OFF, the output voltage is generated by the inductor, output capacitor and the reference voltage, which are connected to the feedback circuit and the switching control circuit. When the input voltage is applied, current is fed to the inductor, which stores energy. When the MOSFET turns ON, the generated output voltage is released to the output capacitor, and the excess energy is dissipated as heat from the LOW side of the switch. After the switch is turned off, the inductor releases the stored energy to the output capacitor and the feedback circuit. This process is repeated continuously and the output voltage is maintained at the preset level.
